Havas Voyages made headlines with an update on its activity, showing leisure travel retreating while business travel holds up. Meanwhile, Voyages E.Leclerc is accelerating its network build-out with new openings announced this week, a sign that the battle is already being fought on the ground.
TUI France launched a premium offer in early October, while its Montparnasse store was cited in news coverage of vandalized storefronts. FRAM continues to grow with its Signature clubs and agencies, and Carrefour Voyages remains visible through the finalists of the Travel Agents Cup. Voyageurs du Monde, whose profits have fallen after the geopolitical shock, and its brand Comptoir des Voyages continue to weigh on the tailor-made segment. Auchan Voyages, Leclerc Voyages and Bourse des Voyages complete a landscape in which distribution networks are competing for locations.
The sector is thus divided between major retail chains, which are betting on physical networks, and established tour operators forced to cope with a leisure market weakened by the geopolitical context.
